Modernization of a gantry crane for MCE Nyíregyháza, Hungary

The status just before modernization: An outdoor gantry crane of Hungarian production with one hoist GHM 12500-16-4/1-12M,Z with the lifting capacity of 12,5t with a magnet traverse.

 

Submission: equip the crane with one more the same hoist with possibility of separate and tandem operation of both hoists, whereas the total capacity of the both hoists must be limited by 17,6to. While separate using of only one hoists, the lifting capacity must be 12,5to. The limitation of the lifting capacity required changing the entire electric cabinet of the crane with the use of device GIGAtronic. Beside of that, the customer had a request to improve the side outreach of the hoist on one side of the bridge.

 

Realized solution  consisted in delivery and mounting of:

- a new hoist GHM 12500-16-4/1-12M,Z with 8pcs of travel wheels (solution more suitable for operation with a magnet traverse)

- a set of shelters for the "old" hoist suitable for outdoor operation

- a new trolley for the "old" hoist with 8pcs of travel wheels

- a new supply trolley for the new hoist and other cabling

- a new electric switchboard for this gantry crane with  GIGAtronic

- the side outreach of one hoist was improved by prolongation of the bridge beam and the hoist´s power supply trolley
